Every child deserves the chance to move confidently, play freely and enjoy their daily activities. At MT Physiotherapy, I offer mobile paediatric physiotherapy - bringing expert support directly to your home for children with motor delays or neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism, dyspraxia or low muscle tone.
Does your child find it difficult to keep up with others on the playground? Do they struggle to climb stairs, skip, jump or balance? Do they seem clumsy or more prone to tripping and falling? Perhaps you have noticed signs of poor core stability, or that everyday tasks take extra effort. They seem to take longer to learn new movements and require more practice than their peers to master them. And often the movement seem to lack finesse and accuracy. You may have voiced your concerns to healthcare professionals but not been taken seriously because they are developing slowly and aren't 'that bad' after all. But you as the parent know them best and can tell that they need a bit of extra support.
I can help you identify what's holding your child back and create a fun and motivating plan to help them achieve their movement goals.
Using a functional approach, I start with a thorough home assessment to see how your child moves in their natural environment. Together, we'll turn therapy into play - using games, simple equipment, creative challenges and everyday activities to build strength, coordination, and confidence.
If your child has been seen on the NHS and discharged, but you still have concerns, private sessions can provide that extra layer or support. My goal is to make physiotherapy enjoyable and achievable, not a repetitive set of boring exercises with little carryover into real life.
Home visits are available after school from 4 pm and at weekends, offering flexibility for busy families. With individualised care and practical ideas you can integrate into your child's routine, I can help them improve their body confidence and their enjoyment of movement. It doesn't need to be expensive either - after an initial assessment you will have a treatment plan to work on at home, you can then choose when to have a follow up appointment. I can be every 4-6 weeks or whatever frequency you prefer. But you will have the reassurance of continuity of care and a dedicated physiotherapist who knows the impact of motor challenges in children from a professional and personal perspective.
